Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Newport News Airport

This hotel is perfect for what it is. Nice little hotel always clean with welcoming customer service. It is conveniently located across form the Patrick Henry mall and right down the street from Newport News/Williamsburg International airport (PHF) smaller rooms but very comfortable. It is a micro hotel after all. If it’s just yourself or you and one other person it’s just perfect.

Wife and I stayed for business. Price was great. A basic no frills room. Room was very clean with TV, microwave and mini fridge. Bathroom has an amazing walk in shower. The continental breakfast was what we needed to start the day. The associates at the front desk in the afternoon and overnight shift were very pleasant and courteous. We definitely would stay again. The hotel checks all the boxes we needed.

So let me start by saying that yes, this location is in need of an update/renovation. But don’t let that keep you from staying here. Joseph at the front desk was so impressive!!! He took care of getting us into a room where we could see our work truck. He truly went the extra mile. The rooms and common areas were very clean and the location was so convenient. It is literally in the middle of everything but yet tucked back into a quiet little wooded area. We would stay here again.

I'm starting my second week here due to ongoing repairs on my condo. The prices are definitely budget friendly, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are well equipped and clean. Each room has control over it's heat and air conditioning, and it works great. There's a complimentary continental breakfast and the coffee is great. This hotel may not be rated a 5 star hotel, but they give 5 star service!

So I tried this hotel for the first time because I use Wyndham Hotels a lot because the points add up very quickly towards free nights. When I entered the lobby, the lady at the front desk was extremely nice and very friendly, which was a great first impression . The lobby looks nice, and she informed me that there is breakfast in the morning. The appearance of the hotel is clean, and there are laundry machines that can be used, and also a small exercise area... I have enclosed many pictures of the room I stayed in which was room 123 and the bathroom was newly remodeled and beautiful. From this first experience I would gladly stay at this hotel again I have nothing really bad to say the only suggestion is they should have some type of alarm clock with a USB charger next to the bed so you can charge your phone easily and have it close by, but this is just a simple suggestion. I had one of the best showers I have had in a hotel here and it was so relaxing.

After driving for 12 long hours and going straight to work the third shift, my fiancé and I were in need of some rest. Kim came to our rescue by allowing us to check in early, and we couldn't be more grateful. Her friendly and welcoming attitude made our stay even more enjoyable. Microtel Inn & Suites is lucky to have such a dedicated and caring employee who goes above and beyond to ensure their guests feel comfortable and at home. Kim's outstanding customer service has left a lasting impression on us, and we would highly recommend staying at this hotel to anyone visiting the area. From the moment we arrived, Kim made us feel like valued guests and took care of our needs without hesitation. Her kindness and willingness to help made our stay stress-free and enjoyable, even after a long and tiring journey. Once again, thank you, Kim, for being so amazing and helpful. Your dedication to providing excellent customer service has not gone unnoticed and is greatly appreciated. We look forward to staying with you again on our next visit!

It was a roof over my head with a nice shower. For some reason all(2) outlets in the room were upside down so the plugs didn't want to stay in.

Been coming here for years. This trip was not a good one. The room was clean. The bathroom was updated. The room was clean. Bed was comfy to provide a good night's sleep. Location is great for peace and quiet. Television situation really sucks. No listing provided for a channel guide. It's on channel 1. BUT no way to punch a channel in to go to that channel. You must thumb thru the channels until you get the one you want. Last of all. I know it would be nice to have a coffee pot in the room.
